Llegué a Karlovy Vary con la sensación de entrar en un sueño antiguo, de esos que huelen a bosque y a piedra mojada.
La ciudad se abre entre montes verdes y un río que refleja las fachadas como si quisiera recordar cada color, cada siglo.
Fundada en el siglo XIV por el emperador Carlos IV, Karlovy Vary nació del asombro: cuentan que el emperador descubrió sus aguas termales mientras cazaba, y que desde entonces las fuentes comenzaron a sanar cuerpos… y a inspirar almas.

Caminar por sus calles es escuchar el murmullo del tiempo.
Las columnatas se alzan elegantes, protegiendo las fuentes donde el agua brota caliente, viva, curativa.

I stopped at the Mill Colonnade, where visitors fill small porcelain cups with steaming water, and I felt that every spring had its own tone, its own secret.
